Shinsaibashi

The heart of Osaka. Whether you enjoy shopping for electronics, indulging in street foods or simply basking in late-night activities, Shinsaibashi is at the crossroads of everything happening in town.

Heading out, Shinsaibashi shopping street is a pedestrian-only road filled with shops of all varieties from end to end. Hungry? Just south is Dotonbori - known for the iconic neon 'Glico-man' board - a street that specializes in culinary delights from all corners of the globe (we recommend grabbing some of Osaka's famed takoyaki, okonomiyaki, or kushikatsu if you can't decide).

If you have a penchant for more geeky pursuits, a ten-minute walk from Dotonbori will take you to Den Den Town (often referred to as Osaka's Akihabara.)  Even if you're not interested in electronics or Japanese pop-culture, Umeda and Namba are both nearby with hundreds trendy shops and eateries for you to visit as well.
